Karen came on board with Maylands Physiotherapy in 2009, specialising in physiotherapy and Pilates.

She is particularly skilled in the use of real-time ultrasound imaging (for core stability and pelvic floor retraining) and Muscle Energy Technique (for joint realignment). Complementing these treatments is Karen’s advanced training in Anatomical Acupuncture (Dry Needling) for muscle release.

Education
Karen completed a Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Health Science) at The University of Western Australia in 2005, and achieved a masters degree at Curtin University in 2009 (Graduate Entry Masters Program). She is also a Level 2 Pilates Instructor.

Career
For more than 10 years Karen has helped her clients to recover from injury, improve mobility and restore their health. She is a well-respected practitioner in the fields of physiotherapy and Pilates.

Professional Achievements
Karen is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Australian Pilates Method Association. She stays up-to-date with the latest research in rehabilitation via conferences, workshops, and academic research papers. Her combination of dedication, clinical insight and empathy make her a powerful practitioner with a long list of regular clients.
